Hello, Truck Mechanics!
We are very happy to welcome you to the next Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths Dev Diary. In which we discuss the progress of our work on the game from the past weeks. We want to talk about HUD.
The HUD (Head-Up-Display) as you know, is the method by which information is visually relayed to the player as part of the game’s user interface. While designing the HUD, we definitely wanted to keep a few things in mind, and the debate was constantly form vs function. We didn’t want it to overpower the screen and become a distraction, it should enhance the gameplay, not hinder it.
Keep in mind that this is still WIP, and as such will constantly change. Things will be added, moved, and removed. Until we’re sure that HUD configuration meets our criteria.
If you have any ideas on what we can improve, let us know!
As always we encourage you to actively comment and share your feedback with us. Remember that all the screenshots shown above are from a WIP build they don’t reflect the final version of the game.
See you next time!
